What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Technician III position at Canyon Ranch?

The largest spa in the world currently has an opportunity for an Engineer III – a Facility Maintenance Technician who’s had at least 6-10 years of experience in a commercial setting and can work independently. We don’t like to micromanage!
This mid-level position will allow you to use your working knowledge of commercial electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and HVAC. Your supervisors would all say you’re a jack of all trades and you can do anything from patching sheetrock to repairing cabinetry.
The Particulars
- Maintain and repair doors, cabinetry and millwork
- Maintain and repair plumbing and related equipment
- Maintain pools and surrounding areas
- Maintain lighting through frequent bulb replacement & occasional fixture or ballast replacement
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience: six to ten years of experience in general maintenance is required. One year of commercial maintenance technician work is preferred. Must possess a working knowledge of carpentry, tiling, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling, and associated building trades. Must be able to perform or be capable of learning pool and spa care and gym equipment maintenance.

Must have good communication and writing skills; must be able to work with a variety of people. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to work well under pressure and with deadlines. Must be able to work productively independently and/or with minimum supervision. Must be able to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Must be knowledgeable in safety regulations and be safety conscious.
