What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager position at Canyon Ranch?
Responsible for generating new group business while maintaining existing business and relationships with current clients. Executes and establishes plans and strategies to expand the corporate customer base with inside and outside sales efforts, displaying expert knowledge of the brand, market and offerings to drive maximum revenue. This position reports to the Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications.
Sales Activity: Prepares and implements action plans to ensure effective search of new corporate and social group sales leads and prospects. Provides timely, accurate, proposals on all Group Requests, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and preserve rate integrity. Maintains a strong business relationship with all Canyon Ranch group customers. Maintains contact with all clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Oversees administrative staff in the execution of proposals and contracts for all bookings.
Lead Generation: Generates group business for groups through active solicitation, outside sales calls, incoming phone and email inquiries, as well as group leads provided by Regional Sales Managers, past group leads, in-house guests. Meets or exceeds all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and production
Administrative: Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the corporate and social group market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Provides timely reporting to Director of Sales & Marketing, regarding forecasting and performance. Maintains accurate records of all sales activities, leads and bookings in Salesforce.
