Position Summary:

The Materials Management Distribution Technician is responsible for issuing medical and surgical supplies, shipping and receiving, delivering supplies, cleaning and distributing patient care equipment, providing customer service, and maintaining inventory control. Reports to the Director of Materials Management.

FLSA: Non-exempt

• Restock all areas using the Par Level System.
• Answer and record orders from serviced areas.
• Fill store requisitions and deliver supplies to the requesting department.
• Alert the buyer to potential stock shortages.
• Charge supplies to various departments.
• Label patient chargeable supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized storeroom.
• Check Par Level areas and the storeroom for expired supplies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Healthcare Materials Management Certification preferred
• Minimum 1-3 years work experience in Materials Management preferred.

Desired Skills:

• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
• Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capability to perform effectively in a high-stress environment and take appropriate action.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Clerical skills, including data entry and professional phone etiquette.
