Canyonlands Solid Waste Authority manages all aspects of solid waste and recycling services in Grand County, Utah and the surrounding areas from the point of collection to disposal and is seeking a Facility Coordinator to join our team! As an essential service, CSWA’s goal is to maintain public health and safety through proper waste disposal, redirect waste and recycle materials, and provide friendly, efficient service to our community and neighbors
Overview
The Facility Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our landfill and other facilities. This position requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a solid background in facilities management. Critical aspects of this role are ensuring compliance with local, state and federal agencies, coordinating maintenance and optimizing scheduling. Prior experience in a supervisory role, and ability to oversee complex tasks are important. Past experience in waste management, industrial facility operations or logistics is a plus!
Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Supervise operation staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work standards.
- Develop schedules for efficient facility operations.
- Track maintenance issues and communicate these with leadership.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding facility operations.
- Track daily facility reports, update yearly "to-do" calendar to ensure reporting deadlines are met, and oversee inspection log reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities management or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for clear communication within the team and with external partners.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance and operational protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive solutions to potential issues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
