Upholsterer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and experience in working with various materials to create and restore upholstered furniture. This role involves utilizing both hand tools and power tools, as well as sewing machines, to fabricate and assemble high-quality upholstery products. A background in auto restoration is a plus, as we also work on vehicle interiors.

Duties

• Measure, cut, and sew fabric according to specifications for upholstery projects.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble and fabricate furniture components.
• Restore and reupholster furniture, ensuring quality craftsmanship throughout the process.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high standards of quality.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality before final delivery or installation.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and sewing machines is essential.
• Experience in auto restoration is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong sewing skills with the ability to work with various fabrics and materials.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings related to upholstery projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
