Job Overview
Cape Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our construction projects from start to finish. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Salary Information
The salary range for this position is $39-$47 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.
- Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
- Managing and mentoring employees, subcontractors, and vendors. Ability to manage multiple crews of 3-6 employees.
- Providing adequate resources to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs.
- Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.
- Assist company leadership with project staffing projections, staff oversight and staff development.
- Manage projects of any size that are sold by others and handed off to you.
- Nurture and develop relationships with clients, architects and engineers as well as continually expand your own professional network.
- Deliver the highest quality product achievable while maintaining strict adherence to budget parameters set forth by the client.
- Must be able to complete work abiding by national, state, and local codes, including safety regulations.
- Assist the Project Manager with change orders and estimates.
- Schedule Town Inspections.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure that the project is running smoothly.
- Manage and organize on site documents.
- Work independently without much instruction.
- Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- 7 plus years of prior experience.
- A valid Drivers License and reliable transportation.
- Own a full set of tools.
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and Construction Supervisor License.
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a strong commitment to high quality of work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working long hours in harsh weather conditions.
- Good math and problem-solving skills.
