Job DescriptionThe Warehouse Laborer & Truck Driver is responsible for driving trucks, making deliveries to and from jobsites, and the overall maintenance of the yard, warehouse, and office buildings at the Cape Associates Eastham location.Responsibilities : Truck DriverJob site trash removalTool and equipment pick up and deliveriesTraileringPlowing (this may require off-hours, overtime work)Warehouse / Yard / Office maintenance duties to include but are not limited to : Tool and equipment tracking, complete knowledge of the bar-coding system, help to facilitate getting tools and equipment to foremen / job sites upon request, follow up on lost toolsMonitor condition of tools and note that in the systemRoll the parking lots once a week with magnetHelp to clean, organize, and maintain two “Receiving” bays with bay floors to be always as clear as possibleDispose of roofing tar, contact cement, oil-based paints, and all hazardous building materials legally (Discourage return to shop of hazardous materials and paints)Empty all office trashes in both locations once a day and as neededPerform small maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, as needed, in all office buildingsMaintain and clean snowplow(s) and gas grilleMaintain and organize yard, parking areas, signs, receiving areas, dumpster, fences, racks, ladders, and tarpsManage toxic shed – check for container leakage and secure / lock at end of dayTest and maintain sign and building lights and timerReceive and assist in unloading deliveries, checking in orders, and distributing to project managers, job sites, or store in warehouse.Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.Mark materials with date received, job name, and Project Manager along with any other necessary identifying informationPrepare return orders for mailing or pick upReturn unneeded items whenever possibleKeep list of job surplus items in warehouse and yard that can be utilized / taken (i.e. insulation, extra windows / doors, appliances, flooring) and email to project managers on a weekly or bi-weekly basisAssist in counting of physical inventory monthlyCompany Vehicle MaintenanceTrack company trailers and locationsWash fleet vehicles regularlyWear the proper safety equipment for all dutiesRequirements : High school / trade school graduate or equivalent training and a minimum of three years’ experience managing and operating tools, equipment, and warehouse.OSHA 10 CertifiedBasic knowledge and use of computer software, including emailValid driver’s licenseCDL holder preferredAbility to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and organizational skillsAttention to detail and ability to follow instructionsPhysical Requirements : Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 80 pounds.Physically fit and able to perform various tasks that include standing, climbing, lifting, walking, reaching, crawling, etc.Ability to work in hard-to-reach places.Salary Range : $22-$25 per hour.Benefits : Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.Paid Time Off.8 Paid Holidays.401K with Profit Sharing Plan.Bonus Opportunities.
