What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Operations position at Cape Cod Cafe Foods Inc?
Working in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operating Officer- responsible for upholding the profitability and values of the organization by leading business operations. Duties include consulting with senior leadership personnel to determine business goals or initiatives, visiting with Department/Location Managers to relay information about company needs and reviewing operational data to make inferences about their organization’s success.
General Accountabilities
- Leading departments and operations of the company
- Budgeting for multiple projects, including monitoring and controlling costs
- Identifying potential new business sites, evaluating their viability based on market factors and company needs, negotiating lease agreements, and overseeing the construction and setup process to successfully launch new location (s)
- Work closely with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies and procedures
- Guiding, directing and evaluating the work of management and executive team members
- Creating and implementing a strategic plan
- Leveraging company output to improve ranking in the competitive field
- Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting
- Representing the company for external and internal events
- Monitoring the competitive landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead
- Identifying, training and developing leaders within the company and setting them on a path for management
Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors or other higher ed degree (commensurate with experience)
- 2 years' experience managing restaurant operations, financials, and control systems, preferably with fast-food experience or fast-casual, pizza experience is desirable.
- 2 years' management or leadership experience coaching and mentoring team members
- 3 years' experience as a restaurant/retail manager
