COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICER
Exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to manage the Bank’s corporate giving initiatives, sponsorships and charitable contributions. The Community Relations Officer is responsible for maintaining the sponsorship calendar, negotiating sponsorship levels with outside organizations, coordinating event details, and managing the charitable giving budget in alignment with established Bank policies, procedures, and charitable giving guidelines. Additionally, this role administers The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod Charitable Foundation Trust, including but not limited to preparing Board materials, maintaining the grant calendar, recording meeting minutes, disbursing grants, conducting site visits, and providing guidance to nonprofit organizations. A key aspect of this role is fostering greater engagement from the Bank’s leadership team in supporting nonprofit organizations, amplifying the Bank's impact by encouraging deeper involvement and collaboration with community-focused initiatives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate Sponsorship and Donation Requests : Assess requests based on the Bank’s charitable giving pillars and guidelines, providing strategic recommendations for funding.
- Coordinate Sponsored Events : Collaborate with the Marketing Team to organize events, including volunteer recruitment, event scheduling, booth setup and breakdown, speaker coordination, and attendance tracking.
- Cultivate Community Relationships : Build and sustain relationships with key community leaders, including nonprofit executives and business owners, to strengthen the Bank's community presence.
- Engage with Community Stakeholders : Proactively understand local challenges and opportunities, positioning the Bank as a constructive and pivotal part of solutions, while aligning initiatives with the evolving needs of the community.
- Research Best Practices : Investigate and recommend effective strategies for corporate philanthropy and community engagement to enhance the Bank's impact.
- Manage Public Relations : Partner with the Bank’s PR firm to draft and publish press releases related to sponsorships and charitable contributions, ensuring consistent and positive messaging.
- Track CRA Activities : Assist in monitoring Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities related to charitable giving and volunteer efforts, ensuring compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with Leadership : Engage with the Bank’s leadership team to facilitate and strengthen community involvement and participation in nonprofit and community-focused organizations.
- Participate in Local Philanthropy : Maintain active participation in local funders' collaboratives and the philanthropic community in Barnstable County to stay informed and connected.
- Manage Budgets and Records : Oversee budgets, records, and reporting for sponsorships, charitable giving activities, and related marketing initiatives, ensuring financial integrity and transparency.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance : Maintain all appropriate regulatory compliance records for audits and examinations, adhering to prescribed guidelines.
- Perform Additional Duties : Execute all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines and as assigned.
