Food Service Director Responsibilities
- Managing food orders within the kitchen and ensuring proper stocking of food
- Managing staff schedules of dietary aides and cooks
- Working closely with the dietitian regarding special menus for patients
- Ensuring proper plating and serving quality food within the nursing home facility
Food Service Director Qualifications
- Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required
- Must have completed an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association and state agencies.
- Serve Safe certification preferred.
- CDM certification is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a supervisor capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical field is preferred.
- Must have training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
