What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wastewater Resource Technician position at Cape Fear Public Utility Authority?
Job Summary
Incumbents in this position are responsible for ensuring the proper operation of all equipment associated with a bio-solids treatment facility, through monitoring, optimizing equipment, writing work order notifications, and the accurate documentation of records.
Essential Job Functions
- Operate sludge presses and maintain polymer systems, pumps, valves, and controls associated with system.
- Clean filter presses by removing sludge ad filter cakes.
- Implement and maintain housekeeping practices to minimize safety hazards and to present a clean, professional image and reports unsafe conditions to management.
- Collect samples, perform chemical and physical analysis to interpret data for operational control.
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of wastewater treatment work experience or any related work field.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid State of North Carolina driver's license.
Pay Grade: G11
