Job Description :

• Every other weekend and holidays required.
• Floating required as needed to all similar units.
• Common diagnoses and treatments include central line placement, vas cath placement, wound care, declotting of accesses, renal biopsy, stress test, vein mapping, cardiac cath, and colonoscopy.
• Managing patients with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, lupus, glomerulonephritis, and acute renal failure (ARF).
• Unit contains 44 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5-6.
• Primary cohort includes patients with sepsis and pneumonia; handling other medical telemetry patients.
• Charting responsibilities use EPIC system.
• Required scrub colors : royal blue or white.
• Special procedures include peritoneal dialysis (experience preferred) and contracted-out hemodialysis.
• Patient population comprises adults and geriatrics.
