Facility Betsy Johnson Hospital Location Dunn, North Carolina Department Engineering Job Family Service Work Shift Days (United States of America) Summary Under general supervision performs complex corrective maintenance, installation and/or modifications of scheduled preventive maintenance on the Medical Center heating, ventilating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration graduate with five years of related facility maintenance experience. Minimum of five years related experience in an institutional environment. Must be capable of conducting staff training and oversight in the proper use of the Four Rivers ITMS preventative/corrective maintenance program. Certified training and demonstrated proficiency in operating the Invensys and Andover Building Management Control Systems. Must possess Universal Refrigerant certification and valid North Carolina driver’s license.Ability to move throughout the Medical Center. Visual acuity for reviewing written reports. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs for access to machinery areas, must be able to open/close large valves in tight places. Exposed to temperature extremes from boiler room to walk-in freezers. High noise levels. Exposure to high-pressure steam lines, refrigerant, electrical wires and equipment; which could cause severe burns. Work near machinery that is in motion such as: belts, fans, pulleys and exposed fan and pump shafts. Work with highly corrosive chemicals such as acids.
