$20, 000 Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Assistance Available Facility Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Location Fayetteville, North Carolina Department Respiratory Care Services Job Family Allied Health Work Shift Nights (United States of America) Summary Supervises all the activities performed by the Respiratory Care staff on assigned shift. Ensures adequate staffing and coverage for the level of respiratory care that is needed. Maintains an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies. Confers with Administrative Director and Medical Director in planning for Respiratory Care Services being offered. Communicates with attending physicians when necessary to adjust respiratory care to meet patient needs.Minimum of 5 years in Respiratory Care, 3 years of critical care experience and 1-year previous employment experience as a clinical supervisor preferred. Demonstrates ability to direct, control, and plan activities of other staff personnel. A desire to provide quality patient care, which meets rigid medical standards. Thorough knowledge of all aspects in respiratory care with a strong emphasis in critical care. Able to react calmly and maintain composure in stressful situations and when dealing with co-workers, patients, physician, and hospital guests. Ability to communicate verbally and by written memorandum is essential. Knowledgeable of Erickson's Developmental model relative to infants, children, adolescent and all adult age groups in order to provide and/or oversee orientation and training of staff who interact with patients in these age groups. Must possess computer knowledge and skill to analyze data, turn data into useable information, and produce necessary charts and reports. Must possess public speaking skills. Must possess good time management skills.Verbal communication skills, manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. This position may involve skin, eye, and mucous membranes with blood or other potentially infectious material.
