Summary
To Ensure Compliance to Cape Fear Valley Health System’s Mission in the Physician Practice .
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Minimum of two years physician office management experience. Prior supervisory and billing experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of computer functions and medical terminology. Ability to read and interpret physician’s documentation. Knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding. Demonstrates leadership qualities and organizational skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and insurance policies, procedures and regulations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Must have ability to work independently and have good organization and communication skills.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach with arms and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee should have the ability to work under physical and mental stress. Motor coordination and finger dexterity are required to operate the calculator, computer and typewrite. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
