Summary
Perform all procedures and operate all equipment designated within the assigned section of the Nuclear Medicine Department. Demonstrates competency and efficiency in the treatment, care of and interaction with all patients of any age to include neo-natal, newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Recent graduates must be registered by ARRT or certified by the NMTCB within twelve months of hire date. Maintains current AHA CPR certification through Cape Fear Valley Training and Development department. Minimum one year nuclear medicine technologist clinical experience preferred. Demonstrates technical skills and expertise. Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills. Verbal and written skills required. Demonstrates good patient care. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and understands the range of treatment needed for all age groups. Provides care based on the patient’s developmental need. Experienced in the treatment of and interacts effectively with patients of all ages to include neo-natal, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.Must be able to communicate orally. Must have manual dexterity and visual acuity. Must have mobility to assume awkward positions. Must have mobility to respond to emergency situations. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to bend and lift.
