Summary
The psychotherapist performs as a clinician in the Psychiatric Service Line providing individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy for child, adolescent, adult, and/or Substance Abuse patients and maintains competency and licensure as delineated through education, experience, and tests.
Education And Formal Training
Masters or PhD in Social Work, PhD Psychology, or related degree required. Fully licensed in area of education; licensure as LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC or LPA is required.
Work Experience
Extensive previous practice in outpatient and/or inpatient mental health facility preferred. Current participation on Managed Care Provider Panels preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Licensure in respective discipline required. Skills in providing individual, family and/or group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and Substance Abuse patients. Must have a working knowledge of basic computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Internet browsing and search retrieval. Applicants will be tested for basic knowledge. Applicant must meet competency screening at time of interview.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to see, hear, read, and have manual ability to use telephones, video equipment and computer keyboard. Must be able to move throughout all departments of the Medical Center and effectively communicate orally to patients, family members, personnel, and physicians.
