Summary
The psychotherapist—provisionally licensed—performs as a supervised clinician in the Psychiatric Service Line providing individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy as well as case management/discharge planning services for adult, and/or substance abuse patients and maintains competency, supervised training and licensure as delineated through education, experience and tests.Must possess a provisional or associate license as LCSW-A or LPP. LCAS or LCAS-A preferred. Substance abuse clinical supervision will be required. Previous practice in outpatient and/or inpatient mental health facility preferred. Skills in providing individual, family and/or group therapy to children, adolescents, adults and Substance Abuse patients. Must have a working knowledge of basic computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Internet browsing and search retrieval. Applicants will be tested for basic knowledge. Applicant must meet competency screening at time of interview.Must be able to see, hear, read and have manual ability to use telephones, video equipment and computer keyboard. Must be able to move throughout all departments of the Medical Center and effectively communicate orally to patients, family members, personnel and physicians.
