Occupational Health and Safety Specialist - (7631)
Eagle Health is seeking an Experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to support USAID’s Management Bureau (M Bureau). M Bureau has overall responsibility for ensuring that the Agency conforms and complies with health and safety requirements established in (29 CFR 1910, and 41 CFR 102-74). The Department of Labor (DoL), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Federal Agency Program (FAP), and Executive Order 12196 Occupational Safety and Health Programs for Federal Employees. - Develop and evaluate Health and Safety Program
- Review existing programs and document any existing compliance gaps and institute corrective actions.
- Develop a health and safety inspection checklist and inspection schedule.
- Conduct routine inspections, document results, forward any compliance issues to the USAID Occupational Safety and Health Manager.
- Develop programmatic metrics and document programmatic achievements.
- Design / develop, and manage computer-based safety and health training for USAID :

Job Requirements :
Education, major study safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), or degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines : safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, OR
Managing safety or occupational health program elements.
Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Health Physicist (CHP), or similar certification that includes successful completion of a written examination meets the requirements.
Clearance : Must be able to obtain a facilities access clearance.
