Technical Requirements :
Scientific Program Manager
- Provide expertise needed to assist with the design and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to the organization’s Safety and Biosurety programs.
- Monitors NIH policies and procedures and notifies leadership of changes that impact internal policies and procedures.
- Analyze current policies and procedures and suggest improvements.
- Analyze current programs and propose improvements or new initiatives to the FTL.
- As appropriate assist in preparing / developing future strategic plans.
- Collaborate with upper management and prepare reports to keep them updated on new and ongoing programs and activities.
- Prepare and provide educational materials to staff.
- Work closely with senior leadership and management to develop new initiatives that further the goals outlined in the strategic plan.
- Conduct pre-screening for new IRF staff entering the Safety and Biosurety programs.
- Complete an assessment regarding qualifications for continued participation in the Safety and Biosurety programs.
- Report findings from pre-screenings and assessments to the federal task leader.
Travel Requirements : 0 - 10%
