Job Requirements:
Cape Fox Lodge is seeking a conscientious Laundry Attendant to join the team. The Laundry Attendant (LA) is responsible for all associated laundry duties in support of guest and commercial Lodge laundry needs. Work schedule is Saturday 8 AM - 4 PM, Sunday 7 AM - PM, and Monday 8 AM - 4 PM. CFL may consider a candidate available to work weekends only.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Strips beds and gathers dirty towels, washcloths, and bath mats.
- Retrieves and sorts dry cleaning to and from guest rooms and hotel departments.
- Sorts, washes, irons and folds hotel laundries and linens.
- Uses cleaning chemicals; operates and monitors washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps
- Identifies stained or damaged items and determines status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
- Sets dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load.
- Removes lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drains trap after each load. Folds cleaned articles into designated size.
- Maintains accurate records of items laundered
- Inspects cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry-cleaning machines and places in clean linen carts
- Exhibits friendly demeanor when interacting with co-workers, guests and property employees.
- Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Follows all required safety and standard operating procedures and policies.
- Asks supervisor or other employees for help when needed.
- Professionally accepts coaching and feedback from supervisor
- Works assigned schedule and exhibits flexibility to meet coverage needs
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior housekeeping, cleaning or customer service experience preferred.
