Department: Front Office
Position Title: Concierge
Reports To: Front Office Manager
Position Overview: Value guests and be committed to assist them by providing information about Congress Hall and other locations within the general area.
These duties may be described as, but not limited to:
- Greet guest in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Coordinate special events or special projects as assigned.
- Assist guest with problems with hotel services.
- Arrange transportation needs for guests.
- Provide information on the geographical area. Suggest site-seeing locations and arrange tours.
- Maintain accurate information on local restaurant hours, shop hours, shows playing and showtimes, tours and exhibits.
- Assist guests with restaurant reservations, golf reservations, show tickets, etc.
- Provide guests with directions to spots in Cape May and the surrounding area.
- Maintain hotel lobby display boxes.
- Sell tickets for hotel special events.
- Assist Front Desk as needed with checkouts and/or room checks.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to converse with guests and provide information in a friendly manner.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Must possess good computational ability.
- Must possess computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must have good knowledge of Time Keeping System and PMS systems.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects daily.
- Must have basic knowledge of Atlantic City and surrounding area.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3 years previous customer service experience required.
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Congress Hall standards.
