Doorman

 Position:         Security / Doorman

Reports To:     Boiler Room Manager

Position Overview: This position is under the direct supervision of the F&B manager on duty and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors.

These duties may be described as, but not limited to: 

• Monitor door entry, screen out minors, intoxicated individuals and any other person causing an issue or problem.
• Report suspicious or unusual activity to the appropriate managers; investigate alarms or comments from employees or guests.
• Monitor noise levels in and outside and address issues when appropriate.
• Perform outlet patrols, protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents; investigate and write reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
• Provide any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors with the department's procedures; serve as trainer to new staff.
• May perform duties of MOD during required coverage and perform other related duties as assigned by a manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Good working knowledge of the entire property, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public, to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance, to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
