Position: Innkeeper
Reports to: Property Manager
Position Overview: This position is one part Front Desk, one part Coffee Shop Clerk. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring 100% satisfaction from the moment a hotel guest arrives until they check-out and providing excellent customer service to all patron of the coffee shop.
These duties may be described as, but not limited to:
- Greet customers to coffee shop in a pleasant and courteous manner.
- Greet and welcome guests of the hotel upon arrival. Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit card information.
- Use both PMS/POS system. Take money for purchases and give correct change.
- Assist with stocking coffee shop area.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining front desk and coffee area.
- Support with answering telephone in a professional manner.
- Uphold Cape Resorts commitment to customer & guest service.
- Ensures that guest concerns/complaints are handled in an effective, courteous manner.
- Assist our guests with information regarding hotel facilities, services, amenities and local attractions.
- Responds to customer inquiries regarding hotel services, room rates, entertainment schedules and restaurants.
- Book reservations over the telephone and at the front desk when required.
- Communicating with public, bellhop, housekeeping staff and management in a professional manner
- Works closely with and reports directly to the Assistant General Manager
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of computer programs, including, but not limited to, POS/PMS (Maestro), Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work alone, under pressure, in a fast-paced environment required.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exits.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent education required.
- One to two years in a public contact position.
- Front Desk/Cafe experience is preferred but not required.
