Embedded Software Manager:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Software Manager to lead and manage our engineering team working on advanced medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery, with a focus on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring, and vascular grafting. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and organizational skills to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for mentoring engineers, managing project timelines, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the team thrives in a fast-paced environment."

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers to achieve professional growth and project success.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

Technical Oversight:

• Oversee the design, development, and testing of embedded software for medical devices using C , Linux, and VxWorks.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 62304 and other medical device software development standards.
• Oversee the architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of software projects.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices, including code reviews and documentation.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance when necessary.

Project Management:

• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA, and UX/UI teams, to define project requirements and goals.
• Track progress and resolve blockers effectively.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with senior management to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.
• Communicate technical strategies and progress to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all software development activities comply with medical device regulations, including FDA, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304.
• Support audits and regulatory submissions by providing necessary documentation and technical expertise.

Hiring and Retention:

• Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of engineering talent.
• Develop strategies to retain top talent and build a resilient engineering team."

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in C , with experience in Linux and VxWorks environments.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet).
• Experience with software tools for version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and static analysis.
• Strong programming experience in languages such as [specify languages, e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.].
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, architecture, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to evolving business needs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Onshore/Offshore Team collaboration.
• Background in managing distributed systems, microservices architecture, or AI/ML projects.
• Experience with real-time data acquisition and intra-operative monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of hardware-software integration in medical devices.
• "o Familiarity with vascular or cardiac surgery procedures and clinical workflows. Deep understanding of IEC 62304, FDA 510(k) submissions, and ISO 13485 processes.
• Experience in risk management and hazard analysis per ISO 14971.
• Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Cloud technologies are a plus.
