Job Title: AWS (AKS / EKS) Lead Engineer
Location: Remote but preference given to Phoenix based candidates who have ability to go onsite if needed.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AWS (AKS / EKS) Lead Engineer to join our team at Capgemini. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes-based container orchestration solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-native technologies, with a focus on optimizing performance, scalability, and security for enterprise-level applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable Kubernetes clusters using AWS EKS/AKS.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications, ensuring integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, cost, and scalability of cloud-based solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure alignment with best practices.
- Implement security controls and compliance measures for Kubernetes environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with AWS services, including EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudFormation.
- Expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster management, deployment strategies, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
- Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
