Cisco PBX Engineer with a solid background in networking to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco PBX solutions in addition to supporting enterprise-level network infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of voice and network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
PBX System Administration:
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco Unified Communications systems (e.g., CUCM, Unity Connection, IM&P, and CER).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to voice quality, call routing, and system performance.
- Perform PBX upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure system reliability and security.
Network Integration:
- Collaborate with networking teams to ensure seamless integration of PBX systems with the organization's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain QoS (Quality of Service) settings to optimize voice traffic.
- Assist in troubleshooting network issues that impact voice communication.
Voice Gateway and SIP Trunking:
- Configure and support Cisco voice gateways, SIP trunks, and analog-to-digital conversion solutions.
- Manage and troubleshoot protocols such as H.323, SIP, MGCP, and SCCP.
System Design and Documentation:
- Design and implement Cisco PBX solutions for new and existing sites.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including call flow diagrams, configurations, and support processes.
User Support and Training:
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for voice-related issues, escalating to Cisco TAC as needed.
- Conduct end-user training for features such as voicemail, conferencing, and call handling.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience working with Cisco PBX systems, including CUCM and Unity Connection.
- Strong networking background with experience in routing, switching, and QoS.
- Familiarity with enterprise network protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and DHCP.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $43.46/hour - $67.90/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
