We are seeking a skilled Databricks Platform Administrator to support deployment, configuration, and management of Databricks environments. This role involves ensuring secure access, performance optimization, issue resolution, and platform reliability to support data engineering and analytics use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and manage Databricks clusters, notebooks, and associated workspace resources.
- Implement and maintain secure role-based access controls and Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies.
- Monitor Databricks jobs and workloads to optimize cluster performance and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot platform-related issues, provide resolutions, and minimize operational downtime.
- Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and security teams to enforce platform best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation on system configurations, policies, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide technical support to users for Databricks access, cluster usage, and job execution.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience working with Databricks on Azure or AWS.
- Experience managing Databricks clusters, notebooks, libraries, and user permissions.
- Strong understanding of Spark architecture, autoscaling, and cluster lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with IAM, RBAC, and workspace-level access configurations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance tuning skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Databricks REST APIs, Terraform for Databricks, or Databricks CLI.
- Experience with monitoring tools and cost optimization practices in a cloud environment.
- Understanding of data lakehouse architecture and integration with cloud storage solutions.
- Exposure to data governance tools (e.g., Unity Catalog, Purview, or Collibra).
- Experience supporting ETL/ELT workloads and pipeline orchestration within Databricks.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.98/hour - $57.79/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
