You will be part of a global hardware Diagnostics development team, a very dynamic group usually working in a fast paced environment. You will closely interact with Diagnostics team members and hardware engineers. As a Diagnostics Engineer you will be exposed to state-of-the-Art technologies used in Core, optical and Edge routing Cisco products.
Your main focus will be to ensure high quality of our Products, by developing component and system level embedded software. The diagnostics Software is target to verify ASIC, FPGA, Board and system designs in Engineering as well as Manufacturing.
We are looking for motivated individuals, outgoing who enjoy challenging tasks. Excellent Software background and strong understanding of Hardware is required. Solid problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues are highly desirable.
- Design and develop component and system level diagnostics software/firmware for system, board, FPGA and ASIC design verification and validation in engineering and manufacturing.
- Work closely with HW design, SW development and manufacturing teams, and promote team collaboration.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and automate software tools to validate diagnostics software. Requires hands-on test automation and programming experience.
Essential Skills (MUST):
- MSEE/CS combined or MSCE with 2 years of related experience
- BSEE/CS combined or BSCE with 4 years of related experience
- Excellent C programming skills
- Solid background in hardware and low level programming
- Seeking candidates with good driver-level or embedded software skills/experience.
- Familiarity with UNIX development environment
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Ability to translate engineering and manufacturing customer requirements into design objectives
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Good English written/oral communication skills
- Ability to design, plan, and schedule a complex diagnostics project
Desirable Skills :
- High speed serdes hardware or software experience.
- Relevant industry experience with routers/switches.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $30.05/hour - $46.95/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
