The EMAT Features Technical Engineer role will manage projects and coordinate the cross functional team activities with a goal of meeting or exceeding the launch metrics for new feature development while advocating as the Voice of the Customer. The successful candidate will work seamlessly with colleagues in Product Planning, Core Engineering, Systems Engineering, HMI, and Validation, with a focus on new feature development and delivery to meet corporate milestones.
Specific job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Coordinate EMAT Technical Features in the area of Energy Consumption & Range, Longitudinal Dynamics & Drivability, and Vehicle Energy Conformity.
- Ensure common process and consistent execution of the virtual/physical tools
- Act as the technical expert at the vehicle level for assigned domain areas
- Approve the global Technical Policy of responsible Features
- Support Vehicle Issue Resolution
- Lead lessons learned for domain area
- Support Platform new feature development
- Support program specific new feature development
- Competitive Benchmarking
- Voice of Customer Clinics
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering or an equivalent from an ABET accredited university
- 5 years of automotive experience
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to communicate technical content to a non-technical audience
- Good project coordination skills
- Flexibility - must be able to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong Background in Engineering Product Development and Automotive Systems
- Knowledge in Writing Requirements at all Levels
- Ability to interpret various regulatory requirements and Industry Best practices
- Experience with software development

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $25.43/hour - $39.73/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
