What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager position at Capital Area Human Services?
Qualifications for position: A high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) plus three years of work experience in which clerical work was a major duty.
Performs duties to support project staff and operations. Serves as liaison and contact person for the unit between and amongst the agency’s other divisions and programs. Answers phone calls, provides and receives information, and processes requests. Takes notes and assures that complete information is available for all matters. Compiles information from various sources and prepares specific reports; formats reports according to required standards. Responsible for property control, purchasing, and unit safety/ all hazards response drills. Serves as assistant to higher-level administrator, which includes keeping appointment schedule, relaying messages to others on their behalf, and relieving the administrator of administrative matters. Performs secretarial work which includes typing and handling confidential documents. Arranges unit appointments and meetings. Types meeting agendas, attendance, and minutes. Collects/enters data and participates in the unit’s performance improvement as well as quality assurance activities. Attends scheduled workshops and training meetings that are designed to maintain proficiency or increase knowledge. Participates in the agency’s all hazards continuity of operations plan. Accepts and performs additional duties not listed in job description to ensure smooth project operation.
