Capital Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Controller to join our Accounting & Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to grow their career in automotive accounting and contribute to process improvements across multiple departments. The Junior Controller will play a vital role in month-end closing, receivable collection, and financial reconciliations while working closely with department heads to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.

- Assist in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations
- Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reporting
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline and improve accounting and operational processes
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection
- Assist in reviewing and implementing pay plans
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed
- Provide backup and support to the Controller and accounting team
- 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience (automotive experience a plus)
- Experience with CDK or similar dealership management systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
