As Accounts Payable Associate, you will process disbursements for closed loans as well as invoices and payments for corporate payables. This includes reviewing and reconciling loan documents and invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and initiating payments.
Responsibilities:
Clients Come First. All decisions at CapCenter are rooted around how the clients benefit. You will ensure daily loan disbursements and trade payables are processed timely and accurately and that all AP inquiries are resolved with an appropriate sense of urgency. For purchases and refinance closings, this includes initiating wires/checks to pay off mortgages listed on the CD, issuing checks to other parties and funds due to borrowers. For closings with outside settlement agents, this includes wires to agents listed on the CD. For trade payables, this includes initiating ACH payments and checks as invoiced.
Innovation Never Stops. People, process, and system innovations are ongoing. You will commit to ongoing education and knowledge of AP / Accounting processes and related systems. You will initiate and/or be a part of AP projects, process improvement initiatives and cross-training efforts.

You will handle day-to-day loan disbursements and trade payables, ensuring information is entered accurately into the accounting system, vouchers are reviewed for completeness and accuracy, and payments are initiated and disbursed timely. You will work closely with department leaders to obtain appropriate approvals and with teammates and managers to ensure accurate accounting in the general ledger.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree required; Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics degree a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office and accounting/financial systems
- Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
- Ability to be an effective communicator, team member and self-starter
- Demonstrate professionalism, ethics and character
- Ability to manage confidential information in a discreet manner
