Automotive Parts Counterperson Responsibilities :
- Essential Duties :
- Sales : Sells parts to customers at the counter, through the shop, or over the telephone..
- Customer Service : Assists customers in identifying and selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Inventory Management : Manages inventory, places and fulfills orders, and ensures stock replenishment.
- Order Processing : Handles telephone calls, provides price quotes, and processes orders.
- Recordkeeping : Maintains orderly records of all transactions, invoices, and special-order parts.
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge : Must have a good understanding of vehicle parts and their functions.
- Skills : Should possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience : Experience in parts sales or a related field is beneficial.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Possess a willingness to adapt to changes in warehouse processes and procedures
- Must pass pre-employment background screenings
