Automotive Diesel Technician Responsibilities:
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with diesel engines
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Inspect, repair, and rebuild transmissions in diesel-powered vehicles
- Repair and replace components of the exhaust system, including mufflers and catalytic converters
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles, including those in heavy-duty equipment
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair options and timelines
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all repair activities
- Other duties assigned
Automotive Diesel Technician Requirements:
- Experience as an Automotive Diesel Technician with a focus on diesel engine repairs preferred
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications in Diesel Engines and related areas are highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, including diagnostics and repairs
- Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians and service personnel
- Proficiency in using a variety of automotive tools and equipment
- Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service to customers
- Willingness to adapt to changes in diesel engine technology and repair techniques
- Must pass pre-employment background screenings
