Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to create opportunities for our firm to carry out its commitment to the pre and post retirees of the Carolinas. Our Marketing and Events Manager hosts events, alongside our Financial Advisors, providing invaluable insights into the financial planning process. This position serves as the external face of the firm, building relationships to deliver an exemplary experience to prospective clients.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Plan, produce, and execute the firm’s educational events, dinner seminars, and webinars in our Columbia Market
- Field inbound phone inquiries from potential clients, engaging them through our marketing and event management process
- Conduct prospective client outreach with the primary objective of scheduling a meeting with our Financial Advisors
- Build and maintain strong relationships between the firm and prospective & current clients through intentional action & proactive communication
- Plan and execute special events such as client appreciation events, referral dinners, and more!
- Research and develop new, innovative avenues for the firm to expand its outreach

- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related major preferred)
- Event planning experience
- Strong sales experience

- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Experience with Redtail/CRM preferred

Compensation will be made up of a competitive salary with benefits (insurance, 401k with match, disability, paid volunteer time, profit sharing).
The starting base salary for this role will be $45,000- $55,000 (OTE $60,000- $75,000).
