Job Description:
The primary goal of this position is to make certain the firm is meeting its commitments to our business tax clients in a manner that is accurate, efficient, and timely. Our Senior Tax Manager will partner with our CPA, playing a crucial role in preparing business tax returns, managing client communications, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations. Applying in-depth knowledge of tax laws to assist in tax planning and advising, this position will champion the organization’s future growth & continual development.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Accurately prepare complex business tax returns through financial statement review and analysis.
- Maintain new and relevant in-depth knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations to deliver high quality service.
- Facilitate the collection of relevant financial records so that tax returns may be completed.
- Maintain detailed records of client information, accounts, returns, and other pertinent data.
- Act as a representative for business clients with applicable agencies, as required.
- Address client inquiries and concerns related to tax filings, compliance, and planning in a professional and timely manner.
- Spearhead effective client communications, offering personalized service and expertise, to maintain strong relationships.
- Assist CPA in developing customized tax strategies and plans that meet each business client’s needs.

- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, or related major preferred)
- 6-8 years of experience in tax preparation, tax strategy, and business tax management.
- 5 years of experience in preparing business tax returns
- Superior organizational & time management skills; ability to multitask
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Experience with Redtail/CRM preferred

Compensation will be made up of a competitive salary with benefits (insurance, 401k with match, disability, paid volunteer time, profit sharing).
The starting base salary for this role will be $70,000- $85,000.
