We are looking for one (1) dynamic individual to fill a full time Assistant Teacher opening in our preschool classroom at BOCES!! This position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening our community. This role helps to create a positive learning environment, nurture relationships, and support the potential of all children at site as part of the overall daycare experience.

Full Time Preschool Opening :

  • Assistant Teacher : Monday - Friday 7 : 30am - 5 : 30pm

ASSISTANT TEACHER (PRESCHOOL) - $15.90 PER HOUR - LEADS CLASSROOM ACTIVITES & SUPPORTS TEACHER

REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S) : College degree / Transcripts, OR HS Diploma / GED AND Resume (w / ALL childcare experience)

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Two (2) years direct experience with children under age 13 required.

    • THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL DAYCARE POSITIONS :

  • Day 1 of Employment : Completed Physical and TB Test (within the last year)
  • Day 30 of Employment : Completed CPR, AED, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention
  • Day 90 of Employment : Completed New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, NYS OCFS Health & Safety and ALICE (Active Shooter).
  • Day 180 of Employment : Completed 15 hours of childcare related training (then 15 hours annually)

    • ALL EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIALS MUST BE UPLOADED IN DOCUMENTS SECTION OF YOUR PRESENCE (PROFILE) BEFORE AN OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT CAN BE EXTENDED.
