Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Modeler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for various projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the design process. This role requires proficiency in multiple CAD software applications and a strong understanding of mechanical design principles. The BIM Modeler will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality models that meet project specifications.
Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed BIM models using software such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
- Create 2D schematics and 3D visualizations to support project design and presentation.
- Convert point cloud data into BIM models for Scan-to-BIM applications.
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks Manage, collaborating with other trades to resolve conflicts.
- Generate prefabrication drawings and schedules, optimizing designs for workshop fabrication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical design elements into the BIM process to develop field installation drawings and layout points for precise on-site execution.
- Conduct quality checks on models to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
- Interpret electrical and construction drawings.
- Participate in project meetings to provide updates on modeling progress and address any design challenges.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, Dynamo, Evolve MEP Electrical, Trimble Field Points, Trimble Field Link and EdgeWise.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and experience in building systems.
- Ability to create detailed schematics and perform 2D animation as required.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant educational background is required.
