About the Role:
As a Lead Surgical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical team. You will be responsible for assisting the surgeon during surgical procedures, preparing the operating room, and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available. Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising and training other surgical assistants, ensuring that they are performing their duties to the highest standards. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential to the success of our surgical team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited surgical assisting program.
- Certification as a surgical assistant.
- At least 2 years of experience as a surgical assistant.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with a variety of surgical procedures.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures, anticipating their needs and providing the necessary instruments and supplies.
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Supervise and train other surgical assistants, ensuring that they are performing their duties to the highest standards.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, following all infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient positioning and transport, as needed.

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
