Position Overview: Education:High School Diploma or equivalent Experience:1 year office experience Other Credentials: Knowledge and Skills:Computer literate, fluent in English, types 30 wpm Special Training: Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Usual Work Day:8 Hours REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Does this position formally supervise employees? No If set to YES, then this position has the authority (delegated) to hire, terminate, discipline, promote or effectively recommend such to manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Answers scheduling calls quickly minimizing time customers are on hold. Verifies schedule prior to finalizing with nurse manager or department of anesthesia. Verifies privilege status of physicians and ensures compliance in scheduling cases. Collaborates with physician's office to schedule cases, negotiating date and time, and avoiding resource conflicts. Gathers complete patient and procedure information and enters data accurately into database. Coordinates special procedure needs with appropriate Organization departments and staff, as well as external resources. Prepares and distributes schedules in accordance with established time frames. Maintains admission report and other department files consistent with department guidelines. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of our onboarding process and pre-employment physical.
