Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care to those in need, particularly in long-term care settings, assisted living, and memory care environments.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures as required.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and physical exercises as needed.
- Engage clients in activities that promote cognitive function, especially for those with dementia or memory-related issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in long-term care or home health settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare practices is essential.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks effectively and maintain a tidy living space for clients.
- Experience with medication administration and understanding of safety protocols related to it.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus, along with an understanding of the unique needs of individuals in assisted living environments.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are vital for success in this role.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
