Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among staff.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure optimal staff performance and service quality.
- Ensure the effective execution of advanced maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical and imaging equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry standards, implementing any adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Mentor and train staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with senior management, providing regular updates on department performance and project status.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities, compliance, and other relevant metrics.
- Oversee project management and equipment planning to support the operational needs of the facility.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
- Facilitate training, technical guidance, proper tools, and support for techs servicing devices that require advanced training, complex troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Oversee the planning and execution of projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, and other initiatives.
- Assisting with budget planning and cost-saving initiatives.
- Supporting cross-functional teams in medical equipment procurement.
- Coordinating vendor relations for equipment servicing and contract negotiations.
- Developing and implementing training programs for staff development.

Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday 700-1530 ET
- Manager on call required
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Electronics, Business, or a related field from a four-year college or university (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in healthcare technology management or the medical device industry.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in healthcare technology management (e.g., Joint Commission, FDA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Adaptability to change, managing competing demands, and maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Certification in healthcare technology management (e.g., CBET, CHTM), preferred.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP), preferred.
$75,000 – 90,000 annualized
