Description
The Materials Expeditor is responsible for coordinating the timely movement of materials to support hospital operations. This role includes receiving, storing, delivering, shipping, and processing medical and non-medical material as required. The Materials Expeditor will ensure the accuracy of purchase orders, manage inventory, and coordinate the delivery of goods to production departments. The role also involves maintaining schedules, monitoring shipments, tracking inventory levels, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries. Additionally, the Materials Expeditor will support government staff with automated systems and maintain accurate records of material actions using tools such as the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.
Key Responsibilities:
Shift
Shifts are scheduled between Monday and Friday, from 0500 to 1700, with an 8.5 to 9-hour shift. Each shift includes a 30 or 60-minute unpaid lunch. Shifts are assigned by site lead upon start.
Contract Length
1-year contract with 4 option years.
Qualifications
Health Exam
A general physical examination is required 10 days before beginning services under this contract. Capital i will coordinate the health exam with a preferred vendor. Immunizations must include the following:

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process purchase orders, delivery schedules, and ensure accuracy.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve material shortages, quality issues, or delivery delays.
- Manage inventory, coordinate deliveries, and maintain stock levels.
- Assist government staff with the preparation of documents and database management.
- Operate a forklift and other equipment to transport materials within the facility.
- Comply with all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Prepare documents for Defense Reutilization and Management Office (DRMO) for unserviceable equipment disposal.
- Attend mandatory government training sessions and maintain required certifications.
- Submit required manpower hour documentation by deadlines.
- Must wear special protective clothing (such as scrubs) and shoe covers when required, provided by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and used in accordance with TJC standards. PPE must not be worn to and from work.
Shift

Qualifications
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED and meet the following minimum skills:
- Must be familiar with windows-based computer applications navigation and usage.
- Must speak, comprehend, read, and write English fluently.
- Must be authorized to work in the Unites States without an employer sponsored VISA.
- Must have at least one year experience in logistic operations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance for access to government automated systems. Government will provide the security clearance at no cost.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift and government driver's license in order to deliver supplies to supported customers. License will cover the employee to drive and operate government vehicles weighing greater than 4 tons NTE 5 tons, with 6 wheels maximum.
- Must have insurance as required by the state of Texas to operate government vehicles
Health Exam

- Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids with a current booster.
- Immunity test for hepatitis (Type B) virus, and completion of Hepatitis-B vaccine series if non-immune.
- Serologic evidence of immunity to measles and rubella, or documentation of MMR vaccination.
- Tuberculosis screening annually via Mantoux technique (TINE test is disallowed).
- Annual influenza immunization.
If immunizations or tests are incomplete at the start of employment, a certificate of completion or a schedule for remaining vaccinations/tests is required.
Compensation
- $23.40 per hour
- $4.93 per hour, up to 40 hours per week, Health & Welfare (H&W)
