Work Environment

The Statutory Staff Accountant is a hybrid eligible role, in our Reno, NV or Monterey, CA locations.

Job Overview

This role offers the opportunity for the individual to grow and develop within the Finance department. Perform activities related to Statutory accounting related to the monthly close process and financial statement preparation. This individual will have a high level of interaction with other members of the finance team to assist in the production and analysis of the monthly financial statements and preparation of the NAIC quarterly and annual financial statements.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, an analytical mindset, strong Excel skills and the ability to be flexible and multi-task to effectively manage their time across various roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Business discipline.
• 2 – 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
• PC literate with a firm understanding of Microsoft Office Programs.
• Property and Casualty insurance experience a plus. Basic understanding of the key concepts and terminology utilized within Property and Casualty of insurance accounting.

Salary Range: $63,729-105,153

The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as benefits and bonus programs.
