What are the responsibilities and job description for the SHUTTLE DRIVER position at Capital Manor?
This position would work the evening position Thursdays and Fridays from 3:30pm to 7:30pm and would start at $15.50 per hour.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for timely and safe transporting of residents to-and-from villas, townhomes, and the tower building.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
Essential Job Duties:
- Pick up and transport residents to-and-from resident homes and the tower building primarily during the dinner and evening programming hours.
- May periodically be asked to assist with transporting residents for off-campus appointments.
- Assist Dining by delivering to-go meals.
- Completes a safety check of applicable vehicle, (i.e., trolley, car or van) before transporting residents.
- Assists all passengers on and off vehicles.
Other Duties:
- Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out.
- Notifies supervisor of necessary repairs and vehicle malfunctions.
- Immediately notifies supervisor of resident concerns, problems, or incidents.
- Makes miscellaneous runs for administration errands as necessary.
- Maintains all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition.
- Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Must be CPR, AED, and First Aid certified.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School education required. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic.
- Must possess a valid Oregon Drivers license (CDL). Must have a good driving record.
- Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with residents at all times.
- Must be able to interpret and follow map directions.
