We are looking for proven leadership candidates who are detailed, customer focused, results-oriented and flexible with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesign, deliver, and manage compensation programs for assigned client groupsConsult with Human Resource Business Partners and Business Leaders regularly, providing expert & strategic, forward thinking compensation guidance and recommendations Deliver expert compensation consulting and develop proposals and presentations about compensation programs to influence and educate senior level decision-makersPerform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation programs Conduct benchmarking and job evaluation using market data and internal evaluationServe as primary compensation point of contact to executives and internal partners within client groupsCoach junior team members to provide analytical and strategic support to client areaLead mid-year and year-end compensation cycles for assigned client groups, ensuring smooth execution and managing within internal and external controlsLead strategic compensation projects, key initiatives or processes horizontally across client groupsCollaborate with recruiters to develop competitive offer packages for external hiresExhibit thoughtful leadership within the team and compensation communityBasic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or military experienceAt least 5 years of experience in compensation or at least 5 years of experience in finance or at least 5 years of experience in analytics, or a combinationAt least 5 years of experience in client management or consultingAt least 3 years of experience with Excel and developing data-based stories in Powerpoint or SlidesPreferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Human ResourcesCertified Compensation Professional (CCP)7 years of experience in Compensation or 7 years of experience in Finance or 7 years of experience in Analytics, or a combination5 years of experience in client facing or consulting roles5 years of experience building compensation models and conducting pay analysis1 year of experience with WorkdayAdvanced excel skills (e.g., VBA, macros, array functions)Knowledge of human resources and compensation including knowledge of relevant Federal, State, Local laws / regulations relating to compensationExperience with benchmarking tools (MarketPay, BetterComp) or reporting tools (Tableau, Business Objects)At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site) : $172,900 - $197,300 for Sr. Mgr., CompensationCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI).
