The Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) Technology division focuses on enhancing Capital One's foundational cloud infrastructure, covering essential areas such as observability, connectivity, resilience, and availability.
The Network Edge Engineering team provides enterprise solutions for network connectivity across all wired and wireless endpoints. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, we ensure that all assets connected to the Capital One network are secure and compliant. Our efforts include developing strategies for software-defined WAN, software-defined switching, and software-defined out-of-band access. As we transition towards a cloud-focused operation, we aim to seamlessly integrate and migrate our on-premises appliances into cloud or SaaS solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with product owners to grasp required application functionalities and testing scenarios.
- Continuously enhance network engineering practices.
- Engage across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support comprehensive solutions using a diverse range of development tools and technologies.
- Oversee the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions.
- Stay updated with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and mentor other engineering community members.
- Foster innovation, adopt cutting-edge technologies, and encourage teamwork, diversity, and inclusion.

Compensation ranges from $158,400 - $180,800 for this role, depending on location. This role is eligible for performance-based incentives, including potential cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
