- About the Role :
Capital One is seeking a talented attorney with a passion for privacy law. This attorney will join an experienced team of legal subject-matter experts focusing on privacy and data protection. They will work closely with other legal, compliance, risk, and business partners across Capital One and will work on a wide variety of cutting-edge privacy issues, with a particular focus on supporting new company-wide initiatives, tracking privacy legislation and international requirements, and advising on global employee / workforce privacy issues.
This role provides an opportunity to work at a leading financial institution that has a strong history of using technology and data analytics to power innovative financial products and enhance productivity. You will develop a deep understanding of privacy laws and best practices and will help build privacy policies, standards, and procedures to support our compliance with legal requirements. We are looking for someone with an ownership mentality who also enjoys being part of a team, who can interact with and influence partners across departments and job levels, and who brings heart and humility to their work every day. Successful candidates will need strong analytical and organizational skills, demonstrated judgment, the ability to communicate complex issues in simple terms to a variety of audiences, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas._
