Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pre-Admission Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of patients during the admissions process, ensuring that all necessary information is collected accurately and efficiently. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to surgical patients as they navigate the surgery process.
Responsibilities
- Assesses surgery patients via in-person or phone interview, reviews labs, EKGs, chest x-rays, and other special needs of patients
- Ensures surgery clearances are collected prior to date of surgery
- Perform patient education for pre and post-surgery
- Serves as a liaison between the clinic and ASC for surgery patients
- Previous Pre-Op or Pre-Admit nurse experience for a minimum of 2 years preferred
- Orthopedic experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care
